The problem

The FUJIFILM House of Photography website underwent a comprehensive redesign to address its outdated features and enhance user experience. The original site failed to effectively communicate the brand values of community, learning, and exploration, leading to a convoluted user journey. We identified significant user drop-off rates during the booking process for courses, workshops, and holidays, primarily due to the complicated navigation and insufficient information. The existing structure lacked clear groupings, making it difficult for users to find their way. Additionally, the basket and checkout process was time-consuming and lacked the persuasive elements needed to encourage users to complete their transactions. This redesign aimed to streamline navigation, clarify the booking process, and reinforce the brand's authority, ultimately creating a more engaging and user-friendly experience.

The solution

The redesign focussed on optimising the entire page structure to enhance user experience and improve SEO performance. The site was restyled to align with FUJIFILM Hous of Photography's new branding, while utilising engaging content and imagery to effectively communicate the brand's mission and highlighting both the team and community. We streamlined the booking process by consolidating course listings to simplify user choices and created optimised templates for booking pages that provided quick access to essential information, encouraging users to complete their journey. Additionally, the basket and checkout pages were enhanced for a more seamless transaction experience, reducing steps and adding key milestones. Navigation for loan and purchase options was improved with clear CTAs and a logical information hierarchy. Overall, these enhancements resulted in a more intuitive and enjoyable user experience that effectively communicated the HoP service to their users.
